Back to Ubuntu

I’ve moved back to Ubuntu as I find that GNOME is a much easier interface to work with than KDE. So, installed Ubuntu Maverick and this time, I selected the option to download updates and "the 3rd party software" during installation itself. The change that I found is that it installed a bunch of 3rd party drivers along with codecs and plugins for totem, So, the end result is that I didn’t have to sudo rfkill unblock anything and surprisingly the external switch for wireless is working fine. In addition to that I used to have trouble with the touchpad switch as it used to behave in a random way; but now that seems to be fixed as well. Looks like I’l hold on to this longer this time 🙂
